For second consecutive year, JJC obtains Socially Responsible Company Award
The award acknowledges a social responsibility approach and management oriented towards sustainable competitiveness.
Peru 2021, a nonprofit civil association promoting social responsibility and sustainable development in the country, gave JJC for the second consecutive year, the Socially Responsible Company award, in recognition of the company's pledge to make sustainable management part of its culture and business strategy.
"Receiving this award once again demonstrates that management based on the contribution to our stakeholders is a responsible approach that enables the sustainability of the organization," said Gonzalo Urbina, corporate business manager at JJC.
Some of the programs presented by the company for evaluation are: 3R Program - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, with which JJC minimizes its environmental impacts; Negocios Mejorados (Spanish for Improved Business), a training program for suppliers in JJC's areas of influence, where they can improve their practices related to production processes and customer service; and Manos a la Obra ("Hands on"), a corporate volunteer program that benefited about 5,000 poor people nationwide during 2015.
